"...and a great time was had by all". I don't know how Saturday night flew by so fast, but from what I'm reading, we all felt the same way.
Class of '78 rocks. Keep up the good work everyone -- don't change and let's get together again absolutely in five years, if not before. Remember, we're not getting older, we're getting better. God Bless you all.

It was a wonderful night and a great weekend! Big thanks to Keely and the rest of the group who planned such a fabulous time! And too Gregg for his remarkable performance....But the whole weekend went way too fast, and Saturday night well, Randy was right, 4 hours wasn't enough to catch up on 30 years....so many people to chat with and not enough time for all! I send my best to all those I didn't get to say hi to and to those old friends that I did see.. It was wonderful to see you and we will keep in touch and I hope we don't wait another ten years to see each other. And Steven Barnes you have to come a day ahead for the next reunion... :)
Take care everyone... I hope life gives you all the best..

Thank you Keely and the reunion committee one and all for one of the best weekends I have experienced in years. It was such a treat to recapture some of the old memories and create new ones with the people who really matter in our lives. The past 30 years have gone by sooooo quickly that maybe we could manage some sort of gathering more frequently. Thanks for such an organized and fun weekend..........I came home to Buffalo(no-it isn't snowing here just yet) realizing that Babylon friends are the best........Hope to see some of you again soon...

I had a BLAST! Thank you Keely, Mark and everyone who coordinated this event - you did a fantastic job! And I think we are all in agreement that it was FUN!!!!
Worth the trip up from Louisiana. I'm just chiming in now because since I arrived back on Monday, my family has been pulling me in all different directions. Wish so much I were still up there!!. Please, let's do this again - in a few years - 3-5? not 10 years - too long to wait. Great seeing everyone! Thanks again Keely and the committee!

Ok everyone - I'm back. Made my trip a week long one, so I just got back last night (Wed). I haven't had so much fun in a long time. Since everyone seemed to enjoy reading all my posts, I guess I'm not done! So glad to hear the site is going to stay up for another 4 - 5 years. Great idea for keeping in touch. Thanks to all those that posted pics already and my thanks as well to the whole committee and to Gregg for his performance. The class of 1978 does rock! And, the bond we share is amazing. I love every last one of you and I'm always up for a get together with super cool people - so let's see what we can do about it!!! Oh, by the way -- I'll be on here regularly, so don't worry. You haven't heard the last of me. I will be sending private emails to some of you, so be on the look out. -Peace out... Barbara

Happy Halloween everyone! Our reunion weekend was one of the nicest and most memorable weekends my husband and I have had in a long time. It was wonderful seeing everyone. Three days was not enough time to talk to everyone. I'm sorry if I didn't get to say hi to some of you. Time flew by too quickly. Thank you Keeley, as well as everyone on the committee. You did an excellent job. Capt Bills was the perfect place for the event and the food was delicious. Please lets have another event sooner than 5 yrs. I love this site! Also thank you Brian for the wonderful video posted on this site that you filmed from Sundays brunch. It was heart warming.
Next reunion you and Steven have to make sure you get here to enjoy the whole weekend. Much love and happiness to everyone.....Maria

O.K., I am getting on the band wagon here, and also want to thank Keely and everyone involved in making the reunion such a wonderful, memorable time -- kudos to you all! I know it took alot of work and time to make the weekend such a success, and we truly appreciate it! Thank you!!

It was SO GREAT to see everyone - you all look super - and I agree that the night just flew by -- there are so many people I didn't get a chance to say hello to or talk to more. I'm sorry I missed you! Like everyone else, I look forward to another reunion in 5 years, if not sooner. I love the idea of this website staying open. Although high school is only 4 years of our lives, those 4 years have such an enormous impact, and the friendships and memories are forever. We are blessed to have such a great class (I always remember my Mom saying that, too). It's amazing that most people I have met throughout my life, did not like their high school years at all - how sad. We are so fortunate.

I just watched the video Brian Vickers put together (such a nice surprise) -- what a wonderful way to mark the end of such a great weekend. What a joy to watch and see all the smiling faces. I was smiling too, but I have to say, when the song came on, the goosebumps and tears came, too. It really is beautiful - thank you, Brian.

Again, thank you to our great class - I love you guys. Until we meet again, be happy and be safe.

Merry

Okay, folks, I still need those reunion pics! If you took any pictures any time over the three days, please e-mail them to me at rftigger40@go.com, subject "BHS Reunion". I got a bunch of nice pics already from Dede, but I need a lot more for my slide show, so send 'em along. Also if you know of anybody that was taking pics, let them know I'm looking for them. I currently have about 35 - 40 usable ones, but I need about twice that many to do a decent presentation, so let's get going!

Hope to see everyone much sooner than 10 years.

Had a great time.
The time did seem to fly. We should definitely look into a five year reunion.
Keep posting those photos, I know there were a bunch of cameras flashing Sat. night.
Sorry I missed brunch, but I am almost 50(I can't do back to back nights and then function). Brian did a nice job with the video.

Now that I have seen the Brunch video (great job Brian!!!) I am sorry I missed it! Went to Field 2 looking for football, but no one was there!!! I got my picture in the mail and saw it for the first time - and there was Phillip Kliesler - I really wanted to see him and had heard he was there briefly (obviously long enough to be in the photo and stand just 6 people away). It cracked me up because I didn't believe he was really there!

I want to thank everyone that has posted photos and videos. I was unable to be at the reunion but these pictures have given me a chance to see all my BHS friends. As a matter of fact I found a picture of Rae, Karen and Arlene and it is now the wallpaper on my computer. There are so many memories of their friendships. I hope that one day we can get together again. I am planning on the next one.

Hi Class,

It's been a long couple of weeks since the reunion because of my son's injury, but he's much better now and is getting around on his crutches just fine. In case some of you hadn't heard, he broke both his tibia and fibula as well as his growth plate. He has pins holding the bones together and will be in a cast for 6 weeks minimum. All this happened in San Diego during our reunion. That's why I had to leave a little early. That was the toughest part for me, being 3000 miles away, but I'm blessed to have a wife who can handle things like that.

Thank you to those of you who have sent me messages asking about Jeremy.

Before I go, I need to say "thank you" to everyone for making this trip for me a warm, memorable one. We truly have a great class. I attended as many events as I could, while sharing time with my parents, and you all made it really special. Great seeing all of you. Love you all, take care,
Jerry

Some of us who are going to be home to LI for the Thanksgiving holiday were talking about a night out. Possibly that Friday the 28th? Just thought I would let everyone know incase they are going to be around and are interested. I don't think there is a plan yet on where to go so any suggestions?????

11/12/08 09:44 PM #104

Maria Cotto (Gargano)

well, here's a suggestion; the clam bar on the corner of Main and Cooper streets...simply because it's not too crazy and crowded; or Horace and Sylvia's (Randy's brother's place...I think it used to be the same building as John's Bargain Stores....remember?) or Post Office or in Bay Shore Molly Malone's (down on the pier by the Fire Island Ferry).....it's times like these that I miss the OBI....then there's the Argyle although that gets a little pricey....
My husband and I like to listen to bands at the Brightwaters Inn near the corner of Orinoco and N. Windsor in Brightwaters....they play music from our day and it isn't filled with kids with fake ID....my husband is in the ATM business and we check out locations all the time....there's a nice bar/restaurant that has bands on the weekend in Patchogue called the Harbor Crab Company; they always have a good party going on....

Maria, all those places sound great! Thanks..
Not too crazy and Loud sounds good to me! Did I just say that? God I am getting old! :)

Meredith Lincoln (Borruso)

All those places sound good. Loud and crowded. LOL - Isn't that what happended Friday night before the reunion. We can all put in our hearing aids - seriously, if anyone is around and wants to have another small reunion - although the bigger the better. I'm up for it.
Babylon Village seems to be a good place to start....
