Clinton spent the summers at West Gilgo Beach, where I grew up. He delivered Newsday at the beach in the summer as far back as I can remember (I had a Sunday paper route. myself, and we used to compare notes on the paper delivery biz). While I saw him only infrequently after high school, I understand that he worked for Newsday as an adult.
After his parents divorced, he and his mom moved to West Gilgo year round and he started going to BHS (I seem to recall that our junior year was his first year at BHS, but my memory isn't what it used to be).
He was a very nice kid and became a nice man - friendly, upbeat, hard working and willing to help out anyone.
